Police seized 400 kg ganja in Palam village area !!!!!!!!!!!!!



With the arrest of one person, the Delhi Police today recovered 400 kg of ganja whose international value is approximately Rs 2.5 crore.
The accused have been identified as Pankaj (22), son of Balkesh, a notorious man of the Palam village police station area.
A police team received information today that there was the possibility of arrival of illicit consignment of drugs near the house of Balkesh. The police had already conducted raids yesterday at the residence of Balkesh where illicit liquor was found.
Constable Jhabar Mal and constable Yograj of Palam police station found an auto parked in front of the house and two persons were unloading sacks from it.
After interrogating the auto-wala, it was found to be 400 kg contraband,ganja. This is one of the largest quantities of ganja recovered this year in Delhi.
The police have registered an FIR under Section 20 and 29 of the NDPS Act.
During interrogation, two persons started running away. One of them escaped on a bike and headed towards Bagdola picket. He slipped and fell near the picket and was caught by the constable who was chasing him on the patrolling bike, Deputy Commissioner of Police R A Sanjeev said.
